Objective A is to identify major bioethical issues raised by globalisation processes in four areas, by convening four expert meetings in 2003:

1) Mobility of people (Rome, January)
2) Technological globalisation (Lancaster, June)
3) Liberalisation of trade (Washington DC, November)
4) New global conflicts (Brussels, January 2004)
